Wifinity was recently selected to install a state of the art wireless network covering 1,200 bed spaces, lecture theaters, class rooms and the on site hospital. The Academy has been active since 1802 (As the Royal Military College) and is the training ground for all of the UK’s Army Officers. Officer cadets joining the prestigious military academy will be able, for the first time, to enjoy campus wide Wifi Internet access. Previously cadets were restricted to using a cable Internet system that had no support for wireless based devices such as iPhones, Wireless Tablets and Kindles.
Wifinity’s installation team worked around the clock to install the service during the Easter break; ensuring new and returning recruits could enjoy fast reliable wireless throughout the entire campus. As well as providing Wifi, Wifinity were asked to install a secondary secure wireless network allowing cadets and staff to access the wealth of learning provided on the academy’s virtual leaning environment.
The service is contract free and visitors to the RMAS can choose from a wide choice of packages and speeds to suit their lifestyle.
